       David W Harris
   Potter/Artist

David is a multi talented Person/Artist he can create something almost out of anything you give him and if it gives him a challenge the more he like it.
Dave's love of Pottery is a recent event, it was love at first play you may say. He tried clay a few months ago and that was it, he pretty much never wanted to put it down again.

He is a natural at it. The first time he sat at the Potters Wheel he threw 15 pots in less than 3hrs. I guess you can see what I mean, by he fell in love with it.
He now works everyday diligently at the wheel or coiling his pots or whatever else his mind may think of.
David loves to teach, he welcomes the opportunity to infuse his love of pottery to all who wish to receive it.

I was born in Santiago, Chile and came to the United States with my parents at the age of 12. Growing up I was continually exposed to art. My grandfather, on my mother's side, was an amazing artist and her brother is one of the best impressionists and portrait artists I have ever seen. My father was the director of production for a major advertising company were I loved going and watch everyone work and design. I learned many fundamentals about art even before I knew what they really meant. All of that was left behind when I came to the U.S. My life took a different turn although I continued to love art and everything related to it. Things here were different and people thought differently so I graduated with a business major and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology by the age of 24.
At 26 I was at the top of my carrier but this was short lived due to a severe automobile accident that left me disabled. After a few years of working at getting my life and body back together I reunited with my love for art by resuming the few classes I had remaining.
My art forms are expressed in many medias. I like to change and expand, always growing and learning new things.
Those who know me know that I will always have something different and unique as a result of my desire to create. I guess I see art and beauty in everything.
I believe that everyone is an artist, because if you can express an idea in any form that makes you an artist. That is what art is: "The ability to express an idea or feeling on paper, canvas or any other medium".

                                         Glenn Gardner
                                         Photographer

I was born, raised and currently living in Miami, Florida, since 1959.

Photography has been a passion of mine since I was a child.

Stopping a moment in time, gives me a sense of belonging to the place the image was taken.
It makes me feel as though I own that short moment.
Being able to share that moment though my photography with others, gives me a wonderful feeling.

I especially appreciate all the wonders of nature all around my home the state of Florida and being able to capture it with my camera.
My wish is to inspire others to stop for a moment and see the beauty around us all. If you find that any of my images touch you in a special way. I feel honored. Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions or comments, through my webpage. To see more of my work, I encourage you to visit my website at : G2photosmx.com

Thank you for your interest in my passion for life.
A brief description of  what I do, how I do it and Why.
I have a passion for living and for me to do the things I love to do.
Does he use Photoshop ? Yes, I do use Photoshop Elements to edit my work. I never add anything to a photo. But I do remove things such as dust spots on the sensor and things like that. During the editing process, I crop lighten or darken to do everything I can to make it look as it did when I pressed the shutter button.
With most of my scenic photos I also use a technique called HDR photography. Here is a link to the Wikipedia explanation of the process :

I basically take three exposures in a row. one normal, one overexposed, and one under exposed. I then merge all three together using a program called photomatrix.
Check out their website link and you will get a good idea of how the process works. :  Photomatrix
This is the reason the images appear vibrant and all spectrums of light are present.
You will understand when you are viewing them.

"Earth Block Inc."

Earth Block, Inc. was founded by Jim Hallock in 1994 after searching far and wide for a suitable building material that was non-toxic. Wife and partner Nora, who is chemically sensitive, knew they had found the answer when Jim was introduced to Earth Block buildings at an industry conference. Earth Block made perfect sense, not just for them, but for the masses. Jim's passion for building with dirt quickly became a life ambition and vocation.
